Flott at Ole deler sine erfaringer.
Oppsummert har vi funnet ut følgende om felgene jeg har nevnt i første posten
Velocity A23
Jeg er ikke imponert over Veolcity A23. Den tåler ikke skikkelig eikespenn. Den asymetriske utgaven er bedre bak.
H+ Son Archetype
we have built a lot of Archies over the last 2 1/2 years and spent time and effort promoting them. Unfortunately over 2014 we noticed a deterioration in the quality of the rim and we struggled to maintain even spoke tension on each side of the wheel (this means spokes are all working at the same level and less likely to failure). No substandard Archetypes left the workshop but even as a relatively low volume builder (with high standards) the amount of time we spent re-rimming those which were not good enough was financially and time wise too high for us.
So it is with regret that we don’t rate the Archetype as a rim we want to build with. kilde Mao litt av det samme som Ole skriver om A23
I tillegg fant jeg denne om Pacenti SL23
It was developed by Kirk Pacenti with some assistance from Fair Wheel Bikes in the USA, although it is made in China. The original version was 440-450g. It had a 10mm braking surface and a tubeless friendly design which made tyre fitting a little difficult. Unfortunately for me, it later transpired, it also had a fairly thin spoke bed. I only discovered the thin spoke bed in July 2014 after which I changed my style of building with this rim. Returns came in after that point in reasonable numbers but mostly pre-dating the July cut off. If you have one of these older rims, it is worth checking its integrity, if you find it to be damage or if a spoke has pulled through, please return the wheel and it will be replaced under warranty.
In April 2015, a new version was released. The original shortcomings have now been overcome. However, I have some concerns that there are some new ones brewing, as of 27/07, I will not be recommending these rims but I will still be offering them, considering them, ‘under review’. Two out of the original ten V2 rims I received have been returned with rattly joints. Until I can ensure this is bad luck and not consistently poor manufacturing, I will not be recommending the rims.
Har vært i kontakt med David Hunt som skriver dette om V1 "If you want to build these yourself I would suggest tensions no higher than 115kgf. I would use washers on the drive side rear and I would go 3x."
