And Lee - coming from (Valldal) Fjørå Singletrack Camp 2019 last weekend and riding the trails you missed:
As you may or may not know, we had perfect trail conditions with rainy nights and sunny days. Conditions were perfect. Beer was cold. Smiles were all around, and pink gloves were waved in the air.
Please come back so I can show you this fantastic part of Norway. I'll even visit you in BC if that is what it takes ICON_LAUGH ICON_LAUGH ICON_LAUGH

Yes oh yes. Should have listened to you!

Rode to Sjurvarden Og Melen. Basically got blown off the top as a front was clearing and at plateau the gusts topped 65kmh with sustained of 25 - 30kts (can't do that kmh conversion but it would have been a 3.5 sail for sure)

Turned tail after nearly getting blown off the ridge trying to ride down. Salvaged day by over-eating cod-fish soup at Bryggery i Bud then getting a lot of Atlantic Highway selfie and poser action

Cool, Sjurvarden/Stemshesten and Melen was the first ting my eyes caught on every morning in most of my first 20 years or so, and still is when i visit my old mother, From Farstad this was the first mountain i climbed and walked in, and several biketrips up there in my later years, last one 3 years ago, so your pictures remind me to do it again next time time visit it in summer/Autumn. But not in the windy conditions you guys had,

I looked at forecast and was hoping for best but it was blowing me sideways. My fault for too optimistic

Ended trip with three days of riding in Oslo

Riding with Per, Helge and Njål is about as local as it gets in these regions of Oslo. And when you're riding the pine-needled loamy, constantly technical, in-your-face labyrinthian spiderweb of Oslo singletrack trails you most definitely want to follow locals.

In all our travels there are only 3 areas in the world where there is a large network of trails close to a big area of people; ie close enough you can bike or take metro to trails. One is Vancouver. The other is Phoenix. And now we know the other is Oslo

Takk Norway!
