Facing a 1.5 Headtube ?

Hi there,

I bought a nomad frame and would like to get the headtube faced so i can put in a ck 1.5 no thread headset. I called raskesykler but at the moment they dont have a facing tool for a 1.5 (they have ordred one but not sure when it will arrive).

My question is, where else can i get this done? I live in Tønsberg but have no problmes driving up to Oslo if needed. Tried some of the local bike shops but they only had facing tools for 1 1/8 headtubes

Have you checked with Olympia Sport in Tønsberg? I cannot guarantee that they have the tool a 1.5 head tube require, but I know they offer a great price for facing bottom brackets.

Thanks, might take a driver up tomorrow after work and see if they can do it. I just see the snow melting and i am itching to get my bike done so i can bash the hell out of it.

Nope. They did not have a big enuf facing tool for a 1.5 headtube. Even took a drive up to sandefjord and asked around there. How hard can it be to find a bike shop that can do a simple facing job. Where doses everyone else get there DH rigs done?

Its so frustrating.... Grrr.

My guess is that they don't, or just trust the manufacturer.

I wouldn't though. Even on my Ventana, the facing tool removed a LOT of material.

Give Rufus at Top Tubes a call, he might have the tool. His shop is just outside Kragerø at Stabbestad.
