Whatever you do, replace those totally mediocre earphones that came with your iPod, Zen Micro, iRiver, or other music player. You don't even know what you're missing until you've heard your music through a good pair of isolating earphones, and it makes no sense to spend hundreds of dollars on a cool digital music player and who knows how many hours of your time getting everything ripped, categorized, and put into playlists, only to get half-assed sound out of the chintzy bundled buds.
