your bike looks great now. Great pictures. Maybe u can show the picture how the bike looked before leatherwork, this will be nice comparison. This orange leather correspond so good with blue frame. Can I show some of this pictures on "Oslo Singlespeed og Fixed Gear" group on Facebook?
Customizer, here are a couple of the before-pictures. To be fair, they are snapshots of a different caliber, just meant to show you what you were in for.
Oh, yes. Directed to you indeed, and you are very welcome. This kind of craftmanship is wonderful on so many levels: The beauty, the substainability, the durability...
Your work reminds me of bibliophile editions of books, and it should be priced accordingly. The fact that you are doing this work for free... Well, it is very generous!

I dont deserve so many nice words. Anyway thank you very much. Definatelly it gives me an energy to experiment more and more with leathercraft. But I'm still amateur and that is why Im not charging money at the moment as feedback from users and building reputation is more important for me at this stage. But I promise I will start to charge one day Also im not doing this for free, lets face it I got some bike parts, saddles or even whole bike sometimes from you guys so this will be not fair to say that Im doing this complately for free. Anyway Im looking forward for some new ideas, leathers from old bags, sport equipment, jackets... Keep me busy guys untill I have time to do that . Thank you once again
Hi mtbmaniac. Thanks for asking. I'm making it in graphical program, then I'm printing it on vinyl using cutting plotter, easy, but sometimes time consuming...
Have to add that this is just a pattern for airbrush. Then of course I'm using: primer, colour and clear coat finish...
This thread gave me some hope for my good, old Speedneedle:
The "padding" at the front is long gone, and I don't miss it. The rest the leather/plastic/whatever it is, is about to disappear. What will happen if I simply try to stretch it out and glue it to the carbon? Any chance at all it will stick to it?

it will probably work for a while but this saddle deserve better treatment. Maybe u will pass Oppegard one day. Just call me and If I will be home, usually I am now. I will help you to restore it to previous glory. Just give me a call 462 72 616. And don't worry about payment I'm still doing it voluntarily and the final result is usually a reward for me
This might be one of the best examples of bike-art I have ever seen! I try to make my own usefull art as well, just haven't landed on a particular "canvas". The quality of your work is simply stunning! I like the idea of luxury/high end products people can afford, but seriously: you should price your work for what it is: a top of the line product!

Espen, thank you but I dont deserve that....yet. When I decide to do it for money I will be expensive, promise
RoyK, generally no equipment is needed but lot of practice, patient and lot of experiments with everything, starting from foam, glue, leather, stitching , different dye's, finishes, stamps, permanent text painting by airbrush with... . I manage to collect 100 saddles in my own collection, some of them still in the que some of them went bad, but I see the progress and now Im avoiding some mistakes I've made in the past...
Still hoping to make some saddles in kangoroo and stinger leather. Any volunteers?
