Schwalbe hadde en "spør oss om alt"-sesjon på Pinkbike i går, der følgende spørsmål kom opp:
As the price of MTB tires increases, have you solved the issue of the side knobs ripping off? At 90 US dollars MSRP, how do I justify buying new Hans Dampf's when my last 2 needed to trash canned because all of the side knobs split in half? I understand aggressive cornering wears tires out faster, but these tear off. Have you fixed this issue? I do like your rubber compounds better than most of the other ones on the market, but I can no longer justify the lack of longevity of the tire for the price. Thoughts?
Svaret fra Schwalbe var jo litt beroligende:
We are really sorry for that. Unfortunately some production lots were affected without being detected by our QM. But this problem was completely solved in the meantime. There should be only good ones in the marked in the meantime.
En annen bruker stiller da oppfølgingsspm:
How are you going to solve this to previous buyers? What if someone buys one of those bad batch ones?
og svaret her er jo greit:
The best way is to get in contact with the shop you bought the tire from or our local distribution. We have a 2-years warranty on our tires, so if it is a manufacturing problem we will get the tire changed
Så at knastene rives av høres ut som feil (heldigvis ikke opplevd selv), men tipper det ikke gjelder knaster som fort blir slitt i kantene (slik mine har blitt etter aggressiv kjøring).
